Ho Ho Chi Rhythm Exercises

These symmetrical polyrhythms are designed to promote rhythmic fluency and with regular practise can be enjoyed by everyone.

No sophisticated instruments are necessary. The only prerequisite is that you can make two distinct sounds simultaneously. It 's even possible to practise by simply clapping your hands against your thighs ... or any other available body parts!

If you do want to practise the rhythms on a drum, use one hand flat in the centre of the skin for a deep sound and the other hand on the edge to produce a sharper note. Alternatively use two drums.

Ho Ho Chi Rhythms are intended to be practised in pairs of equal duration - e.g.: if you play the right hand version for about 3 minutes you should then swap and play the left hand version for 3 minutes also.

Once you are confident play at whatever speed feels appropriate.

The Ho Ho Chi Rhythm Method is a great social activity. Indulge with a group of your friends and experience more fun than you can imagine !
